This
veteran stuntman and 2002 Golden Boot Award recipient has been in
the business for more than 50 years.
His slim frame and short stature made him a natural for doubling
many juvenile actors and women. These included Bobby
Diamond on Fury, Jon Provost
on Lassie, and Anne
Lockhart on B.J. and the Bear.
He also served as Stunt Coordinator for The
Wild, Wild West (he is shown above in character posing with
Ross Martin playing "Artemus
Gordon" from that series.
Mr
Hughes' movie career is equally impressive, having worked
for director Sam Peckinpah
several times. He was also associated with such films as The
Wild One, Sitting Bull, Geronimo
and Men in Black.
