Boyd Magers auctioned off this beautiful "It's A Wonderful Life" throw at the awards banquet. It was donated by Karolyn Grimes, and Packy Smith had the winning bid.
Actor Gregg Palmer brought the banquet crowd to its feet with his impersonation of John Wayne doing his famous "America, Why I Love Her" recitation.

Festival sound man Harold Mathews gets a hug from Bond girl Shirley Eaton after he won a serious bidding war for her book of poems at the banquet.
Shirley graciously declared that she would sign Harold's book with a special inscription that she would never duplicate again - making his book a "one-of-a-kind"!

During a panel discussion, Karolyn Grimes and Frank Bank were surprised to discover that they attended the same elementary school.  Imagine!  "Zuzu" and "Lumpy" were schoolmates!
James Hampton comically displays the award he received at the banquet.

It was a nice reunion for Ted Infuhr and Karolyn Grimes who, until this show, had not seen each other since they appeared together in"The Bishop's Wife" in 1947!
Jon Provost and Ken Osmond visited with attendees after viewing a "Lassie" episode in which they appeared together over 50 years ago!  They laughedly respounded, "Don't ask us anything about this episode - neither one of us remembers anything about it!"

Some of the "unsung heroes" for the Memphis festivals over the years have always been the staff who volunteer their time to help make the festival run smoothly.  Dottie McCollum and Donna Nielsen handled the registration desk and have always greeted attendees with a smile.  The 16mm film projection theatre is always manned by loyal workers such as Don Wilkie.  Their efforts along with that of all the staff are always greatly appreciated.

Elizabeth "Lou Anne Poovie" MacRae waves good-bye to her fans as the festival comes to a close.
